Batıkent Primary School's museum visits are continuing.

Batıkent Primary School’s interest in our museum continues; following previous visits by four other classes on two separate occasions, classes 4/C and 4/B also visited on October 13, 2026. Accompanied by their teachers, Dilek Koral and Sultan Selvi, the students were welcomed by our DEBİM Director, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ayas, and the DEBİM museum team.

The students were shown the skull and spine sections of the fin whale—currently undergoing renovation and assembly work—and received a briefing about the species.

Presentations were given to the visiting students and teachers covering marine species inhabiting the Eastern Mediterranean, their lives in the aquatic environment, the region's biodiversity, and fossils of marine organisms.

The visit, marked by the students' keen interest, concluded with a question-and-answer session.
