Our Library and Documentation Department Participated in the 2026-2027 Orientation Program Activities

As the Mersin University Library and Documentation Department, we met with our students within the scope of the 2026-2027 Orientation Program, organized to support the adaptation process of our students who will join our University in 2026.

We Met with Our Students at the Cumhuriyet Square Events

Between September 21-23, 2026, we hosted our first-year students at our stand during the three-day general orientation program held at our University's Cumhuriyet Square. Throughout the event, comprehensive information was provided to our students about the physical facilities of our library, study halls, and the printed and digital resources we offer.

Library Services and Research Processes Explained in Internal Unit Orientations

Between September 24 and October 2, 2026, our Department conducted information activities within the scope of the internal unit orientation programs carried out by academic units. In this context, our students were informed about:

• Effectively utilizing library resources and borrowing processes,

• Detailed guidance and counseling were provided on searching electronic resources, using 47 subscribed international databases, off-campus remote access, and efficiently managing academic research processes. As Mersin University Library, we wish all our newly enrolled students a successful, productive, and enriching academic year.
